Virtual Special Education Teacher: Deliver individualized educational services and provide behavior support to students in a virtual resource room setting.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver individualized educational services within a virtual resource room setting, utilizing effective behavior support strategies to foster a supportive learning environment.
Collaborate with fellow educators, parents, and support personnel to create and assess individualized education plans (IEPs) and track student progress.
Design and implement engaging virtual lessons that leverage technology to captivate students and promote academic success.
Maintain comprehensive records of student progress and ensure compliance with IEP regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Valid Alabama Special Education certification.
Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities, with experience working effectively in a remote, technology-driven environment.
Proficiency in virtual educational tools and platforms is an asset.
A minimum of 1 year of experience in special education, ideally within a virtual format, with a background in supporting elementary and middle school students in resource and/or behavioral support programs.
