This role involves defining and executing product strategy across various industries, ensuring the product portfolio meets specific market needs, and collaborating with multiple teams to drive revenue growth and market leadership.ResponsibilitiesDefine and own product strategy by vertical, including target segments (enterprise vs. mid-market), priority use cases, and growth roadmapIdentify and prioritize vertical expansion opportunities (new industries, adjacencies, and segments)Develop clear value propositions and differentiation tailored to each vertical marketAlign product strategy with revenue goals, pipeline needs, and market penetration targetsTranslate vertical needs into product requirements, configurations, and solution packagesDefine vertical-specific capabilities (e.g., bill presentment, payment workflows, compliance requirements, reconciliation, reporting)Partner with Platform teams to ensure reusable, scalable capabilities vs. one-off customizationsDrive SKU/packaging strategy aligned to vertical needs and willingness to payServe as the internal expert on assigned verticals, including market trends, regulatory environment, and competitive landscapeBuild strong relationships with customers, prospects, and industry partners to validate product directionIncorporate voice of customer and field insights into roadmap decisionsRepresent the company externally in industry forums, conferences, and customer engagementsPartner with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to define vertical GTM strategiesEnable Sales with clear positioning, use cases, and solution narrativesSupport deal strategy and large enterprise pursuits with tailored product solutionsEnsure alignment between product capabilities and market messagingCollaborate with Platform Product and Engineering to prioritize and deliver vertical capabilitiesEnsure roadmaps balance vertical-specific needs with platform scalabilityEstablish clear feedback loops between vertical teams and core product teamsDrive disciplined prioritization frameworks tied to revenue and strategic impactBuild and lead a team of vertical-focused product leaders (Directors, PMs)Define operating model between vertical PMs and platform/core PMsEstablish clear accountability for vertical performance and outcomesFoster a culture of market expertise, customer focus, and commercial accountabilityOwns product strategy and performance across multiple vertical marketsDirect accountability for vertical revenue growth, adoption, and market penetrationLeads a team of vertical product leaders aligned to key industriesInfluences platform roadmap and company investment priorities through vertical lensSkills12–15+ years of product management experience, with significant focus on verticalized or industry-specific solutions5+ years of leadership experience managing senior product leadersProven track record of driving revenue growth through vertical product strategyExperience in payments, fintech, SaaS, or other complex B2B platformsStrong understanding of enterprise customer needs and buying dynamics by industryAbility to translate market needs into scalable product capabilitiesMarket & Industry Depth: Deep understanding of vertical-specific needs and dynamicsCommercial Acumen: Connects product decisions directly to revenue and growthStrategic Translation: Converts market insight into scalable product strategyInfluence & Alignment: Drives alignment across product, GTM, and executive teamsPlatform Thinking: Balances vertical needs with reusable, scalable solutionsExecution Discipline: Ensures delivery against high-impact vertical prioritiesBachelor's degree, MBA preferredExperience building multi-vertical product strategies on a shared platformBackground in regulated industries (e.g., financial services, utilities, insurance)Experience with API-driven platforms and ecosystem integrationsBenefitsOpportunities for growthCareer developmentA competitive compensation and benefits packageAn innovative and collaborative work environmentStandard remote work environmentCompany OverviewACI Worldwide is a software company that delivers payments software solutions.
