[Remote] Vice President, Finance & Accounting

PRINTING United Alliance is the largest national graphic arts trade association, representing the interests of a diverse membership through advocacy and education. The Vice President, Finance & Accounting is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing all financial functions and providing strategic financial insights to support decision-making and ensure organizational success.ResponsibilitiesPartner with the Chief Administrative Officer and executive leadership to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with organizational goalsProvide forward-looking financial analysis and insights to support strategic planning and investment decisionsServe as a key advisor on financial implications of new initiatives, partnerships, and programsLead the annual budgeting process and multi-year financial planningDevelop and maintain rolling forecasts and scenario modelingMonitor financial performance against budget and provide variance analysis and actionable recommendationsOversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and revenue recognitionEnsure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statementsMaintain strong internal controls and adherence to GAAP (or applicable standards)Lead the annual audit process and serve as the primary liaison with external auditorsEnsure compliance with all regulatory, tax, and reporting requirements (including nonprofit/association standards if applicable)Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring appropriate policies and controls are in placeOversee cash flow management, investment strategies, and banking relationshipsEnsure optimal liquidity to support operations and strategic initiativesPartner with department leaders (events, membership, education, etc.) to support budgeting, pricing, and financial performanceProvide financial oversight of key revenue streams, including membership, events, sponsorships, and education programsSupport operational efficiency initiatives through financial analysis and cost managementLead financial systems strategy, including ERP/accounting platforms and reporting toolsDrive process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalabilityLeverage data and analytics to improve financial visibility and decision-makingLead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting teamBuild a high-performing, collaborative, and service-oriented departmentEstablish clear goals, accountability, and professional development plansSkillsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA strongly preferred)10+ years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experienceDeep expertise in financial planning, accounting operations, and reportingStrong knowledge of GAAP and internal controlsExperience leading audits and managing compliance requirementsProven ability to partner with executive leadership and influence decision-makingExperience in associations, nonprofit organizations, or member-based business modelsFamiliarity with revenue streams such as membership, events, sponsorships, and educationExperience with financial systems implementation or optimizationBenefitsMedical, dental, and vision coverageCompany-paid life and disability insuranceFlexible paid time off and paid holidaysA 401(k) plan with a generous company matchA variety of additional employee benefitsCompany OverviewPRINTING United Alliance to help navigate the challenges of this process.
