The role involves partnering with the CEO and executive leadership to drive financial strategy, enhance operational efficiency, and support growth while delivering long-term shareholder value.ResponsibilitiesChampion enterprise-wide continuous improvement and transformation across Treasury, FP&A, Financial Shared Services and Tax, driving process optimization, automation, scalability, and best-in-class finance capabilitiesDrive enterprise financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and long-range strategy, delivering actionable insights to executive leadership and the Board to support data-driven decision-making and shareholder value creationStrengthen financial operations through standardized processes, and performance metrics that enhance accuracy, efficiency, and transparencyServe as a strategic financial and tax partner to the President & CEO, and business unit leaders, aligning internal performance, and external reportingBuild and develop a high-performing finance organization, fostering accountability, innovation, and a culture of continuous improvementRecommends capital strategy, liquidity management, and capital structure optimization, ensuring strong cash flow, balance sheet efficiency, disciplined capital allocation, and tax-efficient structuresDevelop and maintain relationships with investors, analysts, regulators, tax authorities, and key business partners, such as audit and legal advisorsPartners with Investor Relations to communicate with analysts and investors to ensure a consistent message is delivered with respect to Ferrellgasās operations, prospects, and tax strategySupport companywide strategic initiatives, including those with significant tax implications, M&A, or restructuring considerationsSkillsA Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field12+ years of progressive finance experience, including leadership roles across Treasury, FP&A, Financial Shared Services, and/or TaxExperience working in a publicly traded company, preferably within a complex, multi-site environmentStrong leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments and with senior leadershipStrong experience and understanding of capital markets, cash flow management, financial planning, tax, and transactional finance operationsExtensive experience collaborating with investor relations to communicate financial performance, strategy, and key tax or accounting insights to stakeholdersLed large-scale process improvements and implemented sustainable operational changes that enhanced efficiency and overall performanceStrong analytical skillsExcellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain strong professional relationshipsExcellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environmentHighly motivated, results oriented, and strong attention to detailMust be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or otherwise authorized to work in the United StatesApplicants must not require visa sponsorship now or in the futureAn MBA or advanced degree is preferredCompany OverviewFor more than 70 years, Americans have relied on Ferrellgas for their home, business, agricultural, and fleet propane needs.
