The Vice President, Distribution Center Operations is responsible for leading the strategic and operational performance of a multi-site distribution network, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations while driving service excellence and continuous improvement.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute regional distribution strategies that align with enterprise supply chain objectives and support business growthLead operational planning initiatives to improve service, efficiency, capacity utilization, and scalability across the distribution networkPartner with Supply Chain leadership to evaluate and implement network optimization opportunitiesDrive a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and operational excellence throughout the organizationExcellent operational standards and company objectivesEnsure efficient and effective end-to-end distribution center operations, including receiving, inventory management, replenishment, shipping, and reverse logisticsEstablish, monitor, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to productivity, service, safety, quality, inventory accuracy, and cost managementIdentify operational challenges and implement corrective actions to improve performance and achieve business objectivesChampion a safety-first culture across all facilities, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirementsDrive continuous improvement in workplace safety performance and associate well-beingEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing warehouse operations, transportation, and labor practicesIdentify and mitigate operational risks related to inventory, transportation, facilities, and workforce managementLead, coach, and develop a team of Distribution Center General Managers and senior operational leadersBuild a high-performance culture focused on engagement, accountability, inclusion, and resultsCreate succession plans and leadership development optimize supply chain performance and customer service outcomesParticipate in vendor negotiations and contract management activities to ensure competitive pricing, service levels, and operational effectivenessDevelop and manage operating budgets, capital expenditures, and strategic investments across the regionEnsure disciplined financial management and achievement of expense, productivity, and profitability targetsEvaluate business performance and provide recommendations to improve operational and financial resultsSupport long-range planning, capital projects, facility expansions, and network growth initiativesPartner closely with Store Operations, Merchandising, Transportation, Inventory Management, Human Resources, Finance, and Asset Protection to align operational priorities and deliver business resultsServe as a key advisor and thought partner on supply chain strategy, workforce planning, and operational executionLead and support enterprise initiatives that improve customer experience and organizational performanceSkillsBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience15+ years of progressive supply chain, logistics, or distribution center leadership experienceMinimum of 10 years leading large-scale, multi-site distribution operations in a senior leadership capacityProven experience leading complex distribution networks within retail, consumer goods, grocery, or high-volume distribution environmentsStrong financial acumen with demonstrated experience managing large operating budgets and capital investmentsExperience leading transformational change initiatives and driving measurable operational improvementsStrong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), labor management systems, automation technologies, and distribution operationsDemonstrated success building and leading high-performing teams across multiple locationsExceptional communication, influence, and stakeholder management skillsKnowledge of common food safety practices and audit proceduresStrong end to end distribution knowledgeExperience supporting large-scale retail or omnichannel distribution networksExperience leading highly automated distribution facilities utilizing advanced storage, retrieval, packaging, and sorting technologiesExperience leading and servicing more than 5 billion dollars of supply chain and distributionExcellent contingency planning and execution strategiesLean, Six Sigma, or Operational
