The role involves generating sales leads, managing the business development pipeline, and selling fund administration and middle office services, while collaborating with various stakeholders and maintaining a keen understanding of industry trends.ResponsibilitiesGenerates sales leads and a pipeline of new business opportunities, including prospects for launching funds and take-away business from competitorsLeads and coordinates the process of responding to due diligence questionnaires, RFP’s, and RFI’s for assigned prospectsMaintains a database of sales opportunities with relevant information in the CRM systemEnsures that new business is successfully implemented and transitioned to ongoing servicing team(s)Maintains understanding of functional and technical aspects of the firm’s capabilities and benefits, industry trends, and client needs, using the understanding to win businessMaintains up to date knowledge of competitors’ service offerings and delivery, participating in competitive research as assignedAssists with the roll out of new services by identifying beta partnersRepresents the firm at conferences, trade shows, networking events, seminars, and marketing eventsPopulates and updates leads, contact information, and other relevant data in the CRM systemPrepares and submits status reports (i.e., Deal and Call Reports) as neededContributes to the development of marketing strategies and plans; participates in execution as assigned including thought leadershipLeads the entire RFP or RFI process and consistently meet sales targetsServes as the primary point of contact for prospects during initial stages of the sales process involving subject matter experts, technical experts, senior management personnel, and firm leadership at appropriate points in the middle and late stagesWorks closely with Sales Support to produce deliverables, NDA’s, proposals, contracts, RFP’s, questionnaires, presentations, etcAvailability for travel up to 50% of the timeMay perform other duties as required and assignedSkillsBachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience5-7 years of relevant experience in financial services, fintech, banking, fund administration in private equity, credit, hedge fund spaceProven experience with engaging complex organizationsManagement and/or leadership experienceSalesForce or other CRMFinancial markets and asset managementMicrosoft Office SuiteAdobe AcrobatPossesses a strong work ethic and uncompromising integrityHigh energy, strong self-confidence, strategic mind to lead and/or contribute to discussion with various stakeholders at senior levelsSells complex solutions to clients and applies relationship management and analytical skills to manage client requests and objections in an appropriate mannerAligns associates with company values and goalsPlans and delegates the work of othersMotivates and inspires othersAssesses the performance of self and associates to make improvements or take corrective actionPlans and develops systems and procedures to improve operating quality and efficiency of department in accordance with company policies and proceduresTroubleshoots issues utilizing creative and critical thinking skillsMultitasking, analytical, and organizational skillsInitiative-taking, strategic, and meticulous approaches with a strong commitment to quality, efficiency, and effectivenessDemonstrates personal integrity, responsibility, and accountabilityEffectively uses resources such as time and information in conjunction with associatesParticipates in solving problems and making decisionsPresents and expresses ideas and information, written and oral, clearly, and conciselyActively listens to others to achieve understanding and supports an open exchange of ideas and informationIdentifies needs, arranges for, and obtains resources to accomplish individual and department goalsEstablishes and develops effective working relationships with associates and clientele during both favorable and unfavorable situationsModifies team and individual priorities and deadlines in response to added information, changing conditions, or unexpected obstacles and ensures completionA growing network of fund managers, sponsors, trustees, law firms, and other influencers preferred, including the ability to interact with C-Level executivesCompany OverviewUltimus Fund Solutions, LLC provides highly customized and comprehensive mutual fund services to small and medium size mutual fund groups.
