The Vice President, Account Management is responsible for leading relationships with complex, strategically important provider customers, focusing on retention, revenue growth, and value realization.ResponsibilitiesOwn overall relationship health, retention, and growth for assigned strategic provider accountsLead executive-level engagement and multi-threaded relationships across customer organizationsDevelop and execute account strategies aligned to customers’ business objectives, market dynamics, and growth initiativesDrive renewals, renegotiations, and expansion opportunities in partnership with GTM and FinanceChampion adoption of Datavant’s digital solutions, global workflows, and modernized operating modelsProactively identify account risk and lead resolution of high-impact customer issuesTranslate operational performance into clear, value-based narratives for senior customer stakeholdersPartner closely with Service Delivery to ensure transparency, alignment, and issue resolutionCollaborate cross-functionally with Product, Finance, Implementation, and Marketing to deliver on customer commitmentsMaintain accurate account plans, forecasts, and CRM documentationSkillsBachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred8–12+ years experience in healthcare account management, strategic sales, or servicesProven success managing large, complex provider or enterprise customer relationshipsStrong executive presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholdersDemonstrated commercial acumen, including renewals, pricing, and margin considerationsDeep understanding of healthcare provider environments and HIPAA-regulated servicesExcellent analytical, communication, and presentation skillsAbility to travel up to 50–75%Advanced degree preferredBenefitsThis role is eligible for additional variable compensation.At Datavant our total rewards strategy powers a high-growth, high-performance, health technology company that rewards our employees for transforming health care through creating industry-defining data logistics products and services.To ensure the safety of patients and staff, many of our clients require post-offer health screenings and proof and/or completion of various vaccinations such as the flu shot, Tdap, COVID-19, etc. Any requests to be exempted from these requirements will be reviewed by Datavant Human Resources and determined on a case-by-case basis.
