They are seeking an experienced Veterans & Strategic Partnerships Business Development Manager to develop referral relationships, expand veteran access to care, and strengthen payer partnerships throughout California.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain referral relationships with VA Medical Centers, Community-Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs), Veteran Service Organizations, social workers, case managers, discharge planners, and Community Care staffIncrease awareness of our mental health, dual-diagnosis, PHP, IOP, and outpatient services among veteran-serving organizationsNavigate VA Community Care and TriWest referral and authorization processesServe as a liaison between veteran referral sources and our admissions teamCreate and execute strategic outreach plans targeting veterans throughout CaliforniaAttend veteran-focused events, conferences, and networking opportunitiesBuild relationships with hospitals, psychiatric facilities, behavioral health providers, therapists, physicians, and community organizationsGenerate new referral opportunities across multiple payer and provider channelsDevelop educational presentations and outreach initiatives that increase program visibilityMaintain ongoing communication with referral partners and key stakeholdersIdentify opportunities to expand participation with commercial insurance plans, managed care organizations, employer assistance programs (EAPs), and healthcare systemsBuild relationships with provider relations representatives, health plan executives, and utilization management teamsSupport leadership in identifying and pursuing new payer contracting opportunitiesMonitor market trends and network adequacy opportunities to expand patient accessStrengthen relationships with existing contracted payers and referral partnersIdentify underserved markets and strategic growth opportunities throughout CaliforniaTrack outreach activity, referral volume, and business development performance metricsCollaborate with leadership on long-term growth strategies and partnership developmentRepresent the organization professionally in the community and healthcare marketplaceSkills3+ years of experience in healthcare business development, behavioral health outreach, provider relations, admissions, case management, or related healthcare fieldsStrong understanding of Veterans Affairs healthcare systems, Community Care, and/or TriWest referral processesDemonstrated success building referral relationships and generating business growthExcellent communication, networking, and relationship-building skillsAbility to work independently and manage a large territoryWillingness to travel throughout California as neededPrior experience working for the VA, TriWest, military healthcare systems, behavioral health organizations, or veteran-focused agenciesExisting relationships with VA personnel, Community Care teams, social workers, case managers, discharge planners, or Veteran Service OrganizationsExperience with behavioral health, substance use treatment, PHP, IOP, or outpatient mental health programsKnowledge of healthcare payer contracting, provider relations, and insurance networksVeteran or military-affiliated background is highly valued but not requiredBenefitsCompetitive compensation package with performance incentives.Flexible and entrepreneurial work environment.Significant opportunity for professional growth and advancement.Company OverviewNuView Treatment Center offers outpatient alcohol and drug rehab programs, including PHPs, IOPs, and evidence-based treatments like CBT.
