[Remote] Vascular Clinical Specialist (Central GA)

The role involves market development, education and training of customers on company products, and providing clinical support for procedural coverage and troubleshooting.ResponsibilitiesWork with Regional Sales Manager and team members to develop and implement a regional plan aimed at increasing market share and improving quality of service to customersEstablish a system of communication with Regional Sales Manager and Territory Managers to ensure proper execution of plan and achievement of quarterly objectivesDevelop relationships with hospital personnel to expand contacts in other departments, identify key decision makers and facilitate future salesMeet with existing and potential customers to identify their clinical needs, goals and constraints related to patient care, and to demonstrate how Company products can help them achieve their goalsEducate existing and potential customers on the merits and proper clinical use of Company products by giving presentations and demonstrations, using slides, flow model, brochures and other platforms and formatsKeep customers abreast of the latest product, therapy, and technology developments, and current items of interest in the industryAssist in professional education activities sponsored by Penumbra, including PEER meetings, hospital stroke symposia, and othersAssist in training new employees, including Territory Managers and Clinical SpecialistsParticipate in the development of Continuing Education ProgramsServe as primary resource for clinical support in the areas of procedural case coverage, basic troubleshooting, and follow-up for Company productsReport and track all product incidents at centers, following Company procedures and seeking input from appropriate personnel to resolve problemsRespond to customer needs and complaints by developing creative solutions, working in collaboration with senior management, sales, and marketingProspect and develop relationships with prospective customers and/or users of Penumbra products, converting them to Penumbra customersSecure and/or renew existing orders by coordinating product availability, delivery dates, and inventory levelsMaintain open communication lines with current and prospective customers on programs, promotions, and pricing trendsDevelop relationships with physicians, lab staff, lab supervisors, and purchasing personnelAdhere to the Company’s Quality Management System (QMS) as well as domestic and global quality system regulations, standards, and proceduresUnderstand relevant security, privacy and compliance principles and adhere to the regulations, standards, and procedures that are applicable to the CompanyEnsure other members of the department follow the QMS, regulations, standards, and proceduresPerform other work-related duties as assignedSkillsRequires Bachelor's degree in communications, neuroscience, biology or related discipline, plus additional training and certification in radiology, neuro-interventional technology, or related field with 3+ years' experience in a hospital setting or in a medical device company, or an equivalent combination of education and experienceSales or marketing background desiredStrong clinical, technical, and organizational skillsAbility to function in a busy, demanding, and competitive environmentStrong oral, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsHigh degree of accuracy and attention to detailProficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPointExcellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize assignments while handling various projects simultaneouslyBenefitsWe offer a competitive compensation package plus a benefits and sales incentive programIndividual total compensation will vary based on factors such as sales territory, qualifications, skill level, and competenciesCompany OverviewPenumbra, Inc., headquartered in Alameda, California, is a global healthcare company focused on innovative therapies.
