[Remote] (US) Data Scientist/Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. As a Data Scientist, you will assist in the development of Artificial Intelligence products by analyzing business requirements, understanding available data, and building models to solve problems in the legal industry. Responsibilities • Selecting features, building and optimizing classifiers using machine learning techniques • Data mining using state-of-the-art methods • Extending company’s data with third party sources of information when needed • Enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems • Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis • Doing ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clear manner • Creating automated anomaly detection systems and constant tracking of its performance • Interfacing with product and software development team and clearly communicating model analysis and outputs to be integrated into a software product. • Effectively communicate conceptual ideas, detailed design, design rationale, and research findings, both verbally and visually. Skills • Strong experience with data analysis, data processing, and model training • Familiar with working with US counterparts and has processes to do so • Understanding of Natural Language Processing, Neural Networks, and other algorithms • Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Forests, etc. • Experience with common data science toolkits, such as R, NumPy, Jupyter Notebook, etc. Excellence in at least one of these is highly desirable • Experience with data visualization tools. • Proficiency in using query languages. • Good applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc. • Good scripting and programming skills (Java and Python). Experience with source code management tools such as Git • Data-oriented personality • 2+ years experience with Master's degree or higher with a focus in Data Science • 5+ years of experience with Bachelor's degree with a focus in Data Science Company Overview • Mitratech is a proven technology partner for corporate legal departments, risk & compliance teams, and HR professionals.
