[Remote] Underwriting Operations Analyst

The Underwriting Operations Analyst will provide cross-functional support to various teams within the insurance operations, focusing on service escalations, operational excellence, and compliance.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate the response to service escalations, including investigation of the escalation, drafting the referral, obtaining approval, and documenting direction to service staffPerform root cause analysis and reporting of service escalations to identify opportunities for improvementAid cross functional teams to identify and support training needs for company and productHelp identify and write Underwriting manuals and SOP’sAssist in the identifying and development of Operations ReportingConduct screening process for Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) and Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation (OFSI) referrals in the United States and Canada and provide required reporting to the insurance carrierComplete the underwriting referral process for suspicious claims activity and execute any resulting underwriting action in partnership with Platform OperationsConduct and support monthly review of Bordereaux reporting for the insurance carrierSupport and conduct internal audits, and aid in the annual underwriting and claims audits, including file gathering, general support, and coordination with the insurance carrierMonitor and process CCPA requestsSupport the investigation of all regulatory complaints, working closely with the Compliance SpecialistConduct proactive monitoring of the competitor landscape on filed products and filing activityConduct ad hoc research and/or projects as needed (e.g emerging issues, competitor changes)SkillsBachelor's degree preferred, and/or 5+ years of experience in the P&C insurance industryExhibit general knowledge regarding insurance, operations, policy forms, IT applications, and regulatory compliance requirementsAbility to effectively leverage resources to solve problems independentlyExcellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlinesIntellectually curious with a desire to learn and improve processesAbility to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levelsAbility to independently analyze and resolve complex issuesAbility to research topics, organize information, and clearly communicate findingsPet Insurance and/or Insurtech experience is a plusBenefitsAlong with base salary, your position may qualify for additional bonusesThis position is eligible for the Company’s bonus plan(s)Comprehensive Medical, dental, and vision plan for you and your familyHealth Savings Accounts (HSAs) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) are availableHighly competitive 401(k) matchingGenerous 20-day PTO Policy, with rollover options.
