Trinity Health is a healthcare organization seeking a Treasury Accountant to assist in the development and maintenance of accurate financial information for assigned areas of the general ledger. The role involves general ledger account analysis, reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for assisting in the development and maintenance of accurate financial information for assigned areas of the general ledger; general ledger account analysis and reconciliations and financial statements for the Regional Health Ministry (“RHM”) and Market Record to Report (“R2R”) shared services areaEstablishes and maintains positive relationships with leaders from HM, Service Area, Trinity Health and related entities and exhibits the ability to maintain confidentiality when requiredResponds to requests for informationAssists Manager with work relating to both internal and external audits in the periodic review of financial records, and financial statements including Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (grants; “Uniform Guidance” or “Single Audit”) and other RHM specific audit requirementsResponsible for timely implementation of agreed upon recommendations, related to areas of responsibility, resulting from the audit findingsAssists in annual 990 and other tax returns and accumulation of financial information to support our community benefit reportingAssists in preparation of sales and use tax reporting, local personal property tax reporting, annual escheatment of unclaimed property reporting, mandatory government surveys and others related reporting as assignedComplete special projects, financial analysis, and researchPrepares monthly accounting entries, including support, for input into the PeopleSoft G/L system (or current general ledger system) for entities and accounts assigned in accordance with established timelinesReconciles, analyzes & adjusts general ledger accounts in accordance with established timelinesEnsures accurate detail supports workpaper reconciliationsAssists with completion of year-end financial reporting package and preparation of year-end audit work papers and financial statement footnote disclosuresObtains the appropriate supporting documentation for the audit schedulesSkillsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Business or FinanceKnowledge of US GAAP and conducting financial analysis including experience in researching and analyzing accounting issuesTreasury experience requiredPrefer two (2) years of accounting experienceHealthcare exposure preferredExperience working with various computer accounting systems and ability to use Microsoft Office suiteCompany OverviewTrinity Health is one of the largest multi-institutional Catholic health care delivery systems in the nation.
