[Remote] Traveling Senior System Administrator (Contractor)

Plexos Group, LLC is seeking a Sr. Systems Administrator Contractor to support Cyber Security and System Administrative needs for clients across various industries in the United States. This role involves managing server and networking platforms, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring network security while traveling to client locations as needed.ResponsibilitiesManage all aspects of the servers and networking platformSupport active Directory in an enterprise environmentAdminister Domain Controllers, File servers, Group Policy, DNS Server, DHCP servers, Microsoft Hyper-V servers, VMWare from 5.x to 6.x, Host, VMs, Data Store, Snapshots, VMDKsTroubleshoot network & system issuesMonitor active network and server infrastructurePerform routine preventative maintenance on equipmentAdminister network security measures to prevent system interruptions or breachesExecute sensitive data backup and restoration proceduresDocument all technical procedures and user guidesSkillsPrevious experience as a network or systems administratorAbility to build and configure servers from scratchMust be familiar with administering various Firewalls from various vendors including SonicWall and CiscoMust be familiar with fundamental IT security methodologies including FTK imaging, Windows Live Response, VMDK exportsMust be familiar with VLANS and subnettingKnowledge of TCP/IP and data protocolsAbility to prioritize and multitaskDeadline and detail-orientedStrong troubleshooting and critical thinking skillsMust be able to work 7 days a week and travel within a 24-Hour requestMust be able to work independently or as a team with little to no supervision and adhere to specific scope and confidentiality requirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information system management, information technology or other related fieldsMinimum 3-5 years of relevant ExperienceAbility to travelCertifications from Microsoft, VMWare, CiscoPMP CertificationIT Security CertificationCompany OverviewPlexos Group is a leading program and construction management company.
