Remote Transcription and Dictation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transcription and Dictation Specialist to join our team at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Clinical Center's Health Information Management Division (HIMD). As a remote team member, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality dictation and transcription services for a variety of specialized medical reports, while enjoying the flexibility of a remote work arrangement and being part of a vibrant community. Job Overview The NIH Clinical Center's HIMD is responsible for providing dictation and transcription services for medical reports related to patients' inpatient hospital admissions, day hospital visits, outpatient clinic visits, ambulatory surgery, and other complex diagnostic medical studies. These reports include medical reports, pathology reports, and letters to outside physicians, as well as animal pathology dictations. As a Transcription and Dictation Specialist, you will be responsible for transcribing dictated reports and letters that contain technical terminology and phraseology from all medical and scientific disciplines. Key Responsibilities • Resolve problems with the dictation system and dictated medical reports, coordinating with NIH representatives as needed • Resolve backend speech recognition service, transcription, and medical editing/quality review related issues in Dolbey • Assist with other related dictation and/or transcription related functions and problem-solving as requested Requirements To be successful in this role, you should have: • A minimum of three years of direct experience working in the electronic medical transcription service field • Strong technical skills and attention to detail • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills • Ability to work independently in a remote setting What We Offer In return for your expertise and dedication, we offer: • Competitive hourly rate: $20.76 - $25.00 per hour • Flexible schedule and remote work arrangement • Health insurance and paid time off • Opportunity to work with a friendly and dynamic team Work Schedule This is a full-time position, working 8 hours a day, Monday to Friday.
