The Territory Sales Manager will drive sales within an assigned territory, focusing on building relationships with agricultural clients and promoting Pivot Bioโ€™s microbial solutions, while also leading strategic planning and team training.ResponsibilitiesDevelop comprehensive business plans to achieve sales targets within the territoryAnalyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform strategic planningTrain, mentor, and support local grower and retail representatives to ensure they meet their targetsEnsure the network of seed treaters in the territory is fully operational during the spring planting season and properly maintained after use in the summerPromote Pivot Bio NOVATOR Sustainability initiativesSegment the territory strategically to maximize sales opportunitiesConduct regular sales field visits with grower customers and prospects to promote Pivot Bio productsBuild strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in agricultureRecruit, onboard, and guide sales representatives in collaboration with Regional Distribution ManagersAssist Sales Representatives in invoicing and collection initiatives including enrollment into Pivot Bio sponsored financing programsCollaborate with commercial agronomists to introduce next-generation products and implement strategies to win back customers, ensuring alignment on agronomic solutions that drive customer satisfaction and business growthTravel four days per week within the assigned territory to engage with customersSkillsBachelor's degree in Agriculture, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent experience5+ years of experience in the agriculture sector, preferably in biotech or agribusiness salesProven success in agricultural sales and team managementAbility to travel 4 days per week to meet with clients and perform fieldworkAbility to walk on uneven terrainAbility to lift 40 lbsFrequent use of office equipment, such as computers and phones including which could include sitting, standing and repetitive motion of the hand and wristMust be authorized to work in the United StatesProven experience in agricultural sales with a focus on independent inputsStrong interpersonal skills and ability to engage with key stakeholdersAbility to analyze market trends and data to inform decision-makingExperience in managing and segmenting territories for effective coverageExcellent verbal, negotiation, and presentation skillsFamiliarity with CRM software and Microsoft Office SuiteBenefitsSales Incentive Bonus PlanCompetitive package in a disruptive startupStock optionsHealth/Dental/Vision insurance with employer-paid premiumsLife, Short-Term and Long-Term Disability policiesEmployee Assistance Program with free referrals and discounts401(k) plan, 3% MatchCommuter benefitsAnnual Training & Development supportFlexible vacation policy with a generous holiday scheduleExciting opportunity to work with a talented and fun teamCompany OverviewPivot Bio is an agricultural tech company improving the microbiome by taking nitrogen from the air and making it available for plants.
