[Remote] Telecom Cloud Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. OXIO is seeking a skilled Telecom Cloud Engineer with strong experience in telecommunications and cloud-native infrastructure. The role involves implementing and optimizing telecom network functions in virtualized environments, collaborating with vendors and internal teams, and managing the end-to-end lifecycle of telecom network operations.ResponsibilitiesExecute full lifecycle implementation of telecom network functions in cloud-native environmentsCollaborate with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and cloud providersManage design, deployment, acceptance, operations, documentation, and support activitiesEnsure smooth handover from deployment to operations with proper knowledge transferWork across full mobile network architecture and network elements (NEs)Support technologies across 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G, and Fixed Wireless Access (FWA)Manage core network functions including:Packet CoreIMS CoreCharging & PolicyRegistration & Subscriber RepositoriesApply deep knowledge of telecom protocols and architecturesImplement and maintain FCAPS (Fault, Configuration, Accounting, Performance, Security) frameworksDeploy and operate telecom infrastructure in cloud-native environmentsWork with platforms including AWS, Azure, OpenShift, and VMwareConfigure and manage infrastructure templates (e.g., Heat, YAML)Ensure adherence to deployment standards and best practicesContinuously improve deployment and operational processesPartner with R&D and Engineering teams to automate workflowsIdentify opportunities to enhance efficiency, reliability, and scalabilitySupport development of infrastructure-as-code and automation frameworksSkillsBachelor's or Master's degree in Telecommunications, Networking, or related field15+ years of experience in network architecture, wireless networking, and virtualizationStrong experience with cloud networking and infrastructure platforms (AWS, Azure, OpenShift, VMware)Excellent technical documentation and communication skillsStrong troubleshooting, performance optimization, and production support experienceFamiliarity with AI fundamentals and their application in network operations is a plusRelevant technical certifications are an assetAWS, Azure, or Kubernetes certificationsCisco certifications (CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent)Telecom vendor certificationsCompany OverviewOXIO is a telecom‑as‑a‑service platform that helps brands and businesses offer custom mobile and connectivity services.
