Remote Technical Writer - Entry Level, App Based

Ready to start your technical writing journey? We're searching for an enthusiastic writer who can translate intricate app features into clear, user-friendly documentation. In this entry-level position, you'll get hands-on experience testing actual apps, discovering how they work in practice, and providing detailed feedback on what works well and what could be better. If you love technology and excel at explaining complex concepts simply, this is a great opportunity to build your portfolio while helping product teams create more intuitive applications. Roles: Each week, you'll install and test different apps on your mobile device, examine their functionality thoroughly, and write detailed assessments of your experience. You'll document your observations, identify any glitches or design problems, and recommend specific improvements for the development team. Requirements: You'll need access to at least one mobile device—an iPhone, iPad, Android phone, or Android tablet will work. Contract length: Completely open-ended with no fixed deadline—work at your own pace and decide your own schedule based on what suits you. Rate: $35 per hour (compensation may increase based on app complexity and the depth of your analysis). Skills/background needed: Ownership of a mobile device and comfort downloading and testing various apps Self-motivation and ability to work independently with limited check-ins Strong attention to detail and commitment to following directions accurately Willingness to commit at least 5 hours each week Stable, fast internet connection available during work sessions Hours per week: You decide your own schedule and workload each week.
