[Remote] Technical Writer & Editor

They are seeking a Technical Writer & Editor to support the engagement and communication strategy for California's market transformation program, involving writing reports and collaborating with internal and external teams.ResponsibilitiesWorks with our engagement and communications team in:Researching and writing reports and creating content for other materials summarizing CalMTA's work and initiativesProviding technical copy editing, fact check, and sourcing of reports and studies developed by partners and contractorsConcepting and creating high quality, data driven visuals to support the sharing of informationDeveloping presentation material that delivers on key messages and outcomesSupporting document production and adherence to CalMTA brand standards and messagingParticipating in planning and execution of activities to promote CalMTA activities and progressFunctions as a cooperative and cohesive member of project teamsOther duties as assignedSkillsMust be located in the state of CaliforniaB.S. or B.A. preferred5+ years work experience in energy efficiency and subject matter knowledgeExcellent written and verbal communications skillsExperience writing and editing a range of technical documents and marketing documentsComfortable working with technical material for editing, fact checking, and citing workExperience with data visualization and concepting technical content for graphical representationProficiency in the Microsoft Suite particularly formatting styles in Word and PowerPointHighly motivated and positive attitudeSuperior organization and time management skillsCommitment to high-quality partner and team service and the ability to address issues/concernsExcellent attention to detail with the ability to think critically in a fast-paced environmentFlexibility to work with a variety of team members and dynamic project demandsInterest or experience in a field related to energy or sustainabilityHigh degree of inter-cultural sensitivity and inclusivenessBenefitsEmployees may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonusThree weeks of paid vacation annuallyPaid holidaysA 401(k) retirement plan with employer matchMedical, dental and vision coverageParental leaveAn employee assistance programCommuter benefitsAdditional supplemental offeringsCompany OverviewResource Innovations is a provider of demand-side management, energy efficiency, and energy consulting services.
