[Remote] Technical Writer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Eaton is seeking a Technical Writer for their ES AMER Sector Integration division. The Technical Writer will create and maintain user-friendly documentation for software products, collaborating with various teams to transform complex information into clear content that enhances product adoption and user experience.ResponsibilitiesCreate written documentation for software products and services (e.g., administration guides, user manuals, customer specifications, whitepapers, etc.)Produce user-friendly documentation such as design specs, implementation guides, API docs and SDK content that will support customer system setupPresent content to internal customers, stakeholders, and leadership to gather feedback and drive continuous improvementDevelop technical tutorials, documentation (e.g. user manuals, release notes, developer guide, SOP, training material, and online help) for internal and external audiences using video, graphics, and written mediaReview, edit, and improve existing content to maintain clarity, consistency, accuracy, and compliance with documentation standards, creating new standards where neededCollaborate with software engineers and product designers to capture and document for customer system configuration and user documentationDefine standards for representing data, insights dashboards, IT, OT, and IoT system visualizations as well as maintain a standard dictionary of terminology for consistent communicationAnalyze content for reuse and maintain information architecture and documentation repositoriesParticipate and support in project planning activities related to documentation deliverablesSkillsHigh school diploma or higher with a minimum of 3 years of experience in technical writing in software, IT, and/or engineering industriesMinimum 3 years of experience using software platforms and templates across SharePoint, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Confluence, Jira, Adobe or similar toolsNo relocation is offered for this roleEaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
