[Remote] Technical Trainer (6-month contract)

The company is seeking a Technical Trainer to develop and implement training programs for the Managed Detection and Response (MDR) team, focusing on operational processes and procedures related to cybersecurity.ResponsibilitiesDrive the execution of training on topics such as security operations polices, processes and procedures, threat identification/analysis, and incident responseSupport the creation of curricula from multiple sources of information including, but not limited to operational processes, procedures and policies, engineering documentation, field service requirements or software documentationCollaborate with SMEs to ensure appropriateness and accuracy of curriculum contentCoordinate with various internal teams to ensure that course material reflects current product featuresInstruct participants in both classroom lectures and hands-on labs via remote/virtual training sessionsEnsure documentation is regularly updated to maintain applicability and accuracy of course materialRemain current on the latest research and trends in cybersecurity to maintain SME-level knowledge and insightEvaluate effectiveness of training activities through assessment of course feedback and performance evaluationsSkills1+ years of experience within a cybersecurity environment1+ years of experience developing content for technical training and/or within a formalized training roleHands-on experience using a Learning Management System for content creationExceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both spoken and written EnglishAbility to identify and improve upon individual knowledge/skill deficiencies within a one-on-one contextHigh comfort level when speaking to large groupsAbility to translate complex concepts into simple and understandable narrativesExcellent organizational and time-management abilitiesThrives in a multitasking environment and can adjust priorities on-the-flyExperience with a project Management tool like JiraProficiency in additional languagesPossession of current technical certifications relating to the domain of cybersecurityBenefitsRemote-first working modelEmployee-led diversity and inclusion networksAnnual charity and fundraising initiatives and volunteer days for employeesGlobal employee sustainability initiativesGlobal fitness and trivia competitionsGlobal wellbeing days for employeesMonthly wellbeing webinars and trainingCompany OverviewSophos develops network security and threat management products to protect organizations against malicious acts.
