[Remote] Technical Project Manager

This role involves owning project execution, coordinating releases, managing stakeholder communication, and driving process improvements in Agile delivery practices.ResponsibilitiesLead software development projects from planning through deploymentCoordinate release planning, readiness reviews, and production deploymentsManage project timelines, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder communicationsFacilitate Agile ceremonies and promote delivery accountability across teamsServe as the Jira subject matter expert, including dashboards, reporting, workflows, and automationDevelop executive-level reporting and delivery metricsSupport production issue triage, defect management, and release activitiesDrive continuous improvement across Agile processes, SDLC, and release management practicesPartner with leadership to leverage AI-powered tools and automation to improve reporting, visibility, and operational efficiencySkills5+ years of experience as a Technical Project Manager, Technical Program Manager, Release Manager, or similar roleProven success managing multiple software development projects in Agile environmentsStrong Jira administration and reporting experienceExperience coordinating software releases and working closely with Engineering, QA, Product, and DevOps teamsSolid understanding of Agile methodologies, SDLC, and release management practicesAbility to participate in technical discussions, issue triage, and root-cause analysisStrong communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skillsExperience using data, automation, and AI-enabled tools to improve delivery outcomesPrevious software engineering, systems engineering, or DevOps backgroundExperience within insurance, financial services, or other regulated industriesAgile certifications (CSM, PMI-ACP, SAFe, etc.)Advanced Jira expertise, including automation and reporting toolsExperience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based environmentsCompany OverviewThe Planet Group is a global advisory and staffing firm operating at the intersection of talent and transformation.
