[Remote] Technical Product Owner/Manager
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Prowess Consulting is assisting BD Performing Arts with the search for a Technical Product Owner. This role is responsible for guiding the vision, user experience, and execution of BDPA’s technical initiatives, focusing on the full lifecycle of applications and systems while ensuring high-quality implementation through collaboration with an outsourced development team.ResponsibilitiesDrive requirements gathering through user research across a wide variety of users and stakeholdersTranslate ideas, user needs, and business requirements into clear, high‑fidelity user interface designs using FigmaCreate user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and UI specifications that bring concepts to life and ensure clarity for both stakeholders and developersFacilitate iterative design reviews with stakeholders, validate usability, and refine designs based on feedbackOwn the translation of stakeholder feedback and research insights into user stories and acceptance criteria; prioritize and maintain the feature backlogCollaborate closely with outsourced/offshore developers to ensure accurate implementation of Figma designs, clarify requirements, and maintain alignment throughout developmentManage day‑to‑day development activities, including sprint planning, QA coordination, and release schedulesMaintain product roadmaps for BDPA’s software platforms, both third‑party and proprietaryCollaborate with partners inside and outside BDPA to innovate offerings and support technical initiatives across the organizationReport progress, risks, and results to executive leadership on a regular cadenceSkillsWork experience as a Product Owner or similar role in product managementDemonstrated proficiency with Figma, including creating wireframes, prototypes, design systems, and developer‑ready UI specificationsProfessional experience working with software development teams and modern development processes such as SCRUM and AI‑assisted codingProgressive vision for AI, including coding (Claude code preferred), agents, security, and responsible AIHands‑on experience managing all stages of the product lifecycleTechnical background with knowledge of software development and web technologiesTeam‑oriented with excellent communication and facilitation skillsBA or BS in social sciences, marketing, computer science, or a related discipline — or equivalent experiencePMP or CSM certification desiredPassion for pageantry, marching music, or performing arts is a plus but not requiredExperience with event management software or event‑driven businesses is a plusBenefitsMedical, dental, and vision at 70% employer paidUnlimited PTOCompany OverviewWhere Creative and Tech Converge It was founded in 2003, and is headquartered in Seattle, Washington, USA, with a workforce of 51-200 employees.
