Metasys Technologies is seeking a Business Analyst – Technical / Financial to support a large government contractor on a long-term federal healthcare technology initiative. The role involves gathering and analyzing requirements, translating stakeholder needs into clear documentation, and supporting program management activities for a Defense Health-related initiative.ResponsibilitiesGather, analyze, document, and maintain requirements from government stakeholders, SMEs, technical teams, data services, cybersecurity, testing, product support, and program leadershipSupport requirements definition for a rapid, AI-enabled healthcare-readiness application prototypeTranslate stakeholder needs into clear business requirements, technical requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and documentationSupport creation and maintenance of the requirements roadmapHelp maintain the system requirements specification, product backlog, requirements traceability matrix, and related program artifactsPartner with the Senior Data or Systems Engineer to document data dependencies, data gaps, architecture considerations, and system interactionsSupport backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, demonstrations, retrospectives, and acceptance testing coordinationTrack requirements changes, decisions, dependencies, assumptions, risks, and open issuesSupport financial and programmatic analysis where requirements affect cost, schedule, scope, staffing, or delivery riskDraft clear, auditable, government-ready documentation for review and approvalMaintain requirements and sprint artifacts in government-approved tools such as JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint, or similar platformsSupport monthly status reporting, executive briefings, stakeholder updates, and program management reviews as neededSkillsBachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field4+ years of business analysis, requirements analysis, technical writing, product support, systems analysis, or program support experienceExperience documenting business, technical, operational, or financial requirementsStrong technical writing skills, with the ability to produce clear, organized, and government-ready documentationExperience working with Agile teams, user stories, acceptance criteria, sprint artifacts, product backlogs, or requirements traceabilityFamiliarity with JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint, IBM Jazz, or other requirements/documentation management toolsAbility to analyze complex information and convert it into structured requirements, roadmaps, matrices, trackers, and decision documentsStrong meeting facilitation, interviewing, note synthesis, and follow-up skillsAbility to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersFederal program experienceHealthcare IT or government health exposureAgile delivery experienceStrong documentation disciplineExperience working with government stakeholdersComfort with formal deliverables, review cycles, approvals, and auditabilityAbility to operate in structured tools such as JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or similar platformsExperience supporting or government contractor programsExperience with EHR systems, healthcare data, readiness systems, clinical workflow, or operational medicineFamiliarity with requirements traceability matrices, data dependency registers, stakeholder registers, RACI matrices, risk registers, or action item trackersExperience supporting acquisition, prototype, modernization, or AI-enabled application projectsUnderstanding of privacy, HIPAA, CUI, NIST 800-171, or data governance considerationsExperience supporting cost, schedule, and performance reportingCompany OverviewMetasys Technologies is a staffing company that provides recruitment assistance.
