Remote Teach of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing | North Dakota
A specialized teaching opportunity is available for an educator skilled in supporting students who are deaf or hard of hearing through telehealth services. This contract position is based in Fargo, ND and involves delivering instruction and assistance remotely, utilizing technology to meet the unique communication and learning needs of students within a school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
ā¢ Provide direct educational support and instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing via telehealth platforms.
ā¢ Develop and implement individualized learning plans that address communication, language development, and auditory skills.
ā¢ Collaborate with parents, school staff, and other professionals to ensure consistent educational strategies and support.
ā¢ Assess student progress regularly and adjust instructional approaches to optimize learning outcomes.
ā¢ Maintain accurate and timely documentation related to student services and educational plans.
ā¢ Utilize specialized technology and software designed for telehealth education delivery.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
ā¢ Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing.
ā¢ Experience delivering educational services through telepractice or telehealth modalities.
ā¢ Strong understanding of auditory-verbal techniques and communication strategies for students with hearing loss.
ā¢ Excellent communication and organizational skills.
ā¢ Ability to adapt instruction to meet various individual learning needs.
