Remote Tax Professional - Training available

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Remote Tax Professional to join our team. No experience necessary.. only 7% This role involves providing comprehensive tax preparation, planning, and consulting services to a diverse client base. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in tax regulations, accounting principles, and financial analysis, with the ability to work independently in a remote setting. The position offers an opportunity to leverage extensive tax experience and financial knowledge to deliver exceptional client service while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. Duties • Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, businesses, and non-profit organizations. • Provide tax planning strategies tailored to client needs, including estate planning and compliance with securities law. • Conduct detailed financial analysis and interpret financial reports to optimize tax positions. • Ensure adherence to GAAP, SOX compliance, and other regulatory reporting requirements. • Assist clients with accounting tasks such as double entry bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and general ledger management using accounting software like QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms. • Support clients with corporate accounting functions including accounts payable, payroll processing, budgeting, and asset management. • Stay current on tax laws related to LIHTC, mergers & acquisitions, private equity, and other relevant financial concepts. • Write clear financial reports and interpret complex financial data for clients. • Maintain accurate records of all transactions and ensure compliance with auditing standards. • Collaborate with clients remotely to deliver expert advice on financial planning, investment strategies, and non-profit accounting. Experience • Proven experience in tax preparation and accounting within public or private accounting environments. • Strong background in tax experience including estate planning, Wills & Trusts law, securities law, and regulatory reporting. • Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or equivalent tools for bookkeeping and financial statement preparation. • Knowledge of GAAP standards, SOX compliance, audit procedures, and financial analysis techniques. • Experience with financial services including sales, investment management, asset management, or private equity is a plus. • Demonstrated ability to interpret financial statements such as balance sheets and income statements accurately. • Excellent analysis skills combined with attention to detail in account reconciliation and general ledger management. • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple client accounts efficiently.
