[Remote] Tax Analyst - $500M+ Publicly Traded SaaS Company - 100% Remote

PCG Talent Network is representing a rapidly growing publicly traded SaaS company seeking a Tax Analyst for a 100% remote, 45-day contract engagement. The Tax Analyst will support both indirect and direct tax activities, including compliance, notice management, reconciliations, and audit support, playing a key role in enhancing tax operations within the team.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate monthly U.S. sales and use tax filings through Avalara, including data review, reconciliations, exception resolution, and filing supportManage a high volume of tax notices, ensuring timely review, routing, follow-up, and resolutionMonitor tax-related communications and determine appropriate escalation paths when neededPrepare and reconcile indirect and direct tax accounts in collaboration with the accounting teamAssist with quarterly and annual income tax provision activities and related SOX compliance controlsSupport indirect tax audits, taxability reviews, and nexus research as requiredPartner with Accounting, Finance, and external consultants on tax compliance and reporting mattersContribute to international indirect tax compliance initiativesAssist with tax payments, general ledger coding, and other administrative tax support activitiesSupport special projects, process enhancements, and automation initiativesCoordinate meetings, communications, and departmental activities as neededMaintains organization and accuracy while managing a high volume of tax notices and compliance activitiesSkills2–5+ years of experience in tax, accounting, or related fieldIndirect tax experience (sales & use tax preferred)Strong accounting fundamentals (reconciliations, reporting)Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis)Able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environmentHighly organized with strong communication and problem-solving skillsWorks independently, takes initiative, and keeps stakeholders informedExperience with Avalara requiredExposure to NetSuite, Workiva, Vertex, or similar systems preferredPublic company and SOX experience a plusInterest in process improvement, automation, and AI tools is a plusCompany OverviewThe PCG Talent team has served clients and candidates for over 20 years across finance, accounting, HR, sales/marketing, legal, and IT roles.
