[Remote] Tax Accountant / CPA

They are seeking a skilled Tax Accountant / CPA to manage the company’s tax and accounting functions, ensuring compliance with federal and multi-state tax filings while contributing to financial planning and business decisions. Responsibilities • Prepare and review federal and multi-state tax returns accurately and on schedule • Gather and analyze financial and tax information to streamline compliance • Support financial planning initiatives from a tax perspective • Prepare tax projections and planning analyses • Serve as the primary contact for internal tax-related questions • Prepare and oversee federal and multi-state corporate, S Corporation, and Partnership returns • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations • Communicate with the IRS and other tax authorities as needed • Work independently while collaborating with internal teams • Deliver clear, well-researched recommendations with strong attention to detail Skills • Active U.S. CPA license in good standing (preferred); CPA-eligible or EA considered • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required • 4+ years of accounting and tax experience • Experience with federal and multi-state corporate tax filings • Strong understanding of U.S. tax law and compliance • Excellent research, analytical, and communication skills • High level of professionalism and accountability • Experience with accounting and tax software (QuickBooks preferred) • Has experience supporting SMBs, mid-market, or enterprise businesses • Provides both tax compliance and proactive tax planning • Is detail-oriented, organized, and dependable • Communicates complex tax matters clearly to leadership • Takes ownership and approaches the role as a long-term business partner Benefits • 401(k) with employer matching • Health, dental, and vision insurance • Life and disability insurance • Paid time off and paid sick leave • Paid training and continuing education support • Opportunities for advancement • Gym membership / on-site gym • Retirement plan Company Overview • Total Home & Farm Video Solutions provides high quality digital video surveillance systems with expert installation, and friendly technical support.
