The role involves serving as a technical resource in project planning, management, and production support, as well as leading strategic designs and initiatives to enhance the bank's consultative direction and technical advice relating to the Bank's operating systems, software, and hardware infrastructureSupports all areas of Technology and OperationsLeads strategic designs, initiatives, and contributes to the analysis of new and existing Bank technologiesUnderstands software internals, debugs problems, and automates repetitive tasks with scripting tools and user-level automation toolsAdheres to the bank’s Enterprise Software Delivery MethodologyStreamlines the testing process by introducing automation, leveraging tools and setting goals to reduce time and effortAssists, develops, monitors and executes test activities for small to large size projectsAssists new technologies spanning applications, different operating systems, and database management systemsCoordinates network communication and application and data integration methods for new technologiesPerforms planning and documentation throughout support activitiesAssists processes related to strategic designs and implementations, backup, recovery, data security, and other disaster recovery functionsResolves complex technical problems and failures and automates tasks for improved efficienciesAssists assigned technical projects ensuring accurate, timely, and quality delivery of project objectivesGuides the development and execution of project tasksMaintains a strong knowledge base in order to effectively create and maintain strategic technology plans and to direct others on technical mattersCommunicates effective and clear technical information across platformsReviews and understands project or application requirements and conducts an ambiguity reviewPrepares robust test strategy, test plan, and test casesLog defects and produce status reportsWorks closely with offshore vendor teams to ensure continued support and test execution in various time zonesSkillsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Management, or related field plus eight (8) years of experience in the job offered or eight (8) years as a Systems Engineer, Quality Engineer, Automation Tester, Technical Support, or related occupationAlternatively, employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Management, or related field plus six (6) years of experience in the job offered or six (6) years as a Systems Engineer, Quality Engineer, Automation Tester, Technical Support, or related occupationRequires experience with building test automation framework, test automation scripting, scheduling and reporting with Selenium and JenkinsRequires experience with analyzing test scenariosRequires experience designing and converting to automation scriptsRequires experience maintaining and upgrading
