They are seeking a full-time Systems Administrator to provide support to a Federal Government customer in the Victorville, CA location. The role involves managing IT infrastructure systems, troubleshooting, and providing technical direction and training to support personnel.ResponsibilitiesManage Information Technology infrastructure systems operating in a Microsoft Windows environmentResponsibie for account management, troubleshooting workstations and servers in both virtual and physical environments, installing hardware and software, configuring operating systems, performing patch and vulnerability management, and configuring or troubleshooting workstation peripheralsTravel to remote locations is requiredMake independent judgment and sound decisions when providing IT systems support, collaboration, and guidance to users and support personnelProvide technical direction and training for support personnel performing technical operations within the assigned area of responsibilityExecute policies and standards, as they relate to IT systems and network security and protocolsProvide comprehensive solutions for managing desktops, workstations, servers, and printersEvaluate, install, configure, upgrade, and back-up hardware and softwareAssist with configuring and assigning file shares and linking servers to database systemsMay assist with management of remote client accessSkills5 years minimum relative experience performing System Administrator activitiesDemonstrated experience of various COTS software/hardware, and network products; Windows OS, MS Office, etcBe able to exercise a high degree of discretion when evaluating client's operating systems, hardware configuration, firewalls, security, and network infrastructureDemonstrate a wide degree of creativity and latitude as expectedBachelors of Science degree in Information Technology or related field; relevant and equivalent experience may be substituted for degree requirementAt a minimum of one of the following certifications: CompTIA Security+, CompTia Network+, CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Microsoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA) certificationCompany OverviewDST is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business dedicated to delivering innovative technology solutions and high-quality services to meet our clients' toughest challenges.
