[Remote] Systems Administrator

They are seeking a skilled Systems Administrator to maintain and support production systems with strong Linux fundamentals and an automation-first mindset.ResponsibilitiesAdminister, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux-based systems in production environmentsDeploy, manage, and support containerized applications using Docker and/or PodmanSupport container orchestration platforms such as Docker Compose (deployment, troubleshooting, and operations)Automate system configuration and provisioning using AnsibleDevelop and maintain scripts (Bash, Python) to automate routine operational tasksMonitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and resolve incidents across infrastructure and application layersMaintain system security, including patching, access controls, and certificate managementProvide support for Java applications using the Spring framework running on Tomcat with NginxDocument system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting proceduresSkillsExperience working in heavily regulated environments3 - 7+ years of experience as a Linux Systems AdministratorStrong experience with Linux system administration (RHEL, Ubuntu, or similar)Hands-on experience with containerization using Docker or PodmanExperience with automation tools such as AnsibleProficiency in scripting (Bash and/or Python)Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.)Experience with SELinux, system hardening, and security best practicesExperience managing internal certificate authorities and trust chainsFamiliarity with monitoring and observability tools (Grafana, ELK, Datadog, etc.)Experience supporting both operations (O&M) and development (modernization) effortsSolid understanding of networking fundamentals, including experience with Docker networkingCompany OverviewAgile5 Technologies is a small, woman-owned systems architecture and software development firm that specializes in enterprise software systems for government agencies, as well as commercial interests.
