They are seeking an experienced Sustainability Analyst to develop and build a Power BI dashboard for carbon accounting and reporting, ensuring data accuracy and user-friendly functionality.ResponsibilitiesBuild a custom interactive Power BI dashboard for our Carbon accounting/reporting (e.g., Scope 1, 2, 3 emissions) and data validationIntegrate data from multiple sources (including Enterprise Fabric Lakehouse) into Power BI for comprehensive reportingIdentify opportunities to improve dashboard functionalityEnsure the dashboard is user-friendly, visually compelling, and aligned with the organization’s needsWork closely with our Data Services Team to automate data refresh processes and maintain data integrityDeliver a fully functional Power BI dashboard for carbon emissions reporting (Scope 1, 2, and 3) with integrated data sources and automated data refresh and error-checking processesSkills5-10 years of experience in relevant technical fieldIndustry relevant knowledge and expertiseTrack record of supporting mission-driven organizationsDegree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Data Analytics, or related fieldsExperience with carbon accounting and emissions reportingProven experience in Power BI development (e.g., data modeling, DAX, data visualization best practices)Strong proficiency in Excel and familiarity with data transformation tools (e.g., Power Query Editor)Understanding relational databases and data integrationFamiliarity with sustainability frameworks and standards (e.g., GHG Protocol)Company OverviewMercy Corps is a global organization powered by the belief that a better world is possible.
