[Remote] Supervising Financial Analyst

The Supervising Financial Analyst will perform financial analysis and regulatory consulting services for state insurance departments, with opportunities for personal and professional growth.ResponsibilitiesPerform risk-focused financial analysis to assess insurer financial condition and compliance with laws and regulationsPerform holding company system analysis and other group-supervision servicesReview insurer regulatory filings, including requests to approve acquisitions, transactions, dividends and restructuringsReview company licensing and expansion applicationsAssist in responding to troubled-company situationsRecommend actions to help enhance insurer solvency and ensure compliance with laws and regulationsPrepare clear, complete, concise, and informative documents and reportsOversee the quality and consistency of the analytical review process, ensuring appropriate depth of analysis, thorough documentation, and timely resolution of identified issuesEvaluate and validate conclusions regarding insurer priority levels, recommending adjustments as necessary to ensure alignment with regulatory expectations and risk assessmentsAssess determinations of insurer compliance with applicable state laws, regulations, and NAIC standards, ensuring accuracy and completenessLead, mentor, and support RRC and client financial analysts, fostering professional development and promoting a culture of continuous improvementMaintain and expand expertise in insurance regulatory matters, including statutory accounting principles, insurance laws and regulations, and evolving regulatory best practicesSkillsBachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA or other relevant advanced degree preferredMinimum of 7-10+ years relevant experience as a financial analyst, accountant, auditor or examiner with a state insurance department, regulatory insurance consulting firm, public accounting firm or insurance companyInsurance industry or regulatory experience is a mustDynamic/flexible demeanor with exceptional client-service skillsStrong interpersonal, presentation, analytical and analysis skillsSelf-motivation, ability to work well independently and with a sense of urgencyTeam building and development skillsStrong ethical behavior and adherence to professional standardsExcellent organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks, projects and assignmentsStrong PC skills, including experience in MS OfficeStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to routinely work from home, with the flexibility to travel periodicallyStrong commitment to staff development through effective coaching, guidance, and performance oversightAbility to provide clear and consistent supervision to staff analysts, ensuring timely and high-quality completion of workAbility to review and evaluate the work of others with a critical eye, constructively challenging conclusions and offering actionable feedbackProfessional designation (Accredited Financial Examiner (AFE), Certified Financial Examiner (CFE) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA))Experience using TeamMateBenefitsFlexibility in your scheduleDiscretionary bonus based on firm and individual performanceCompany OverviewStay Alert: Avoid Recruitment Scams Across industries, cybercriminals are posing as company recruiters using fake job postings and employment offers to trick people into providing personal information or payment.
