[Remote] Substation Protection & Control Designer - REMOTE

The role involves designing various protection and control drawings, coordinating with different disciplines, and ensuring quality assurance processes are followed.ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include, but are not limited, to the design and preparation of the following Protection and Control Drawings:Substation Relay One Lines and Three LinesAC/DC SchematicsSubstation Panel LayoutsSubstation Wiring Diagram and Cable ScheduleSCADA and Communication DiagramsPoint to Point Wiring DiagramsCoordination with physical, settings, and drafting disciplines to ensure quality deliverablesInterpret and incorporate vendor information into design deliverablesApply client standards related to the workPerform/ensure company’s Quality assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) processes are being followed on all design packagesContinuous improvement of job-related engineering, technical and professional knowledge, skills, and performanceSkillsAA or High School DiplomaExperience with substation (transmission) design3+ years of detailed wiring design experience, developing single lines, schematics and relay panels3+ years of experience working with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Inventor, and MicroStationUnderstanding of AC/DC control diagrams to accurately perform point to point wiring requirementsAbility to assist lead engineers with initial design requirementsAdvanced user of Microsoft products, specifically Excel, and WordKnowledge of the practical application of industry standards such as: NEC, NESC, IEEE and ANSIKnowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of technical plans, blueprints and drawingsBenefitsFlexible workplace arrangements, work-life balanceTuition reimbursementAccess to professional development resources401k matchingEmployee Stock Purchase PlanDonation matchingVolunteer opportunitiesCompany OverviewICF is a global consulting and technology services provider focused on making big things possible for our clients.
