[Remote] Subscription Growth Manager

City Cast is a network of local news podcasts and newsletters, and they are seeking a Subscription Growth Manager to drive the growth of their premium subscriber content in DC. The role involves defining the user journey for subscription conversion, developing lifecycle communications, and collaborating with various teams to enhance subscriber benefits and metrics.ResponsibilitiesDefine the user journey to drive paid subscription conversion onsite and via emailHelp shape the structure and packaging of City Cast DC's subscription tiers and value propositionDevelop robust lifecycle communications including welcome, retention, and winback seriesPartner with the City Cast membership manager to develop and run ad hoc membership campaigns across email, website, social and podcast messagingPartner with editorial and audience teams to promote subscriber benefits such as original paywalled content, member events, swag, etcWrite or closely direct copy for all acquisition touchpoints including website, newsletter in-podcast CTAsTrack and report on core subscription metrics: conversion rate, churn rate, LTV, and net subscriber growthTranslate data into clear recommendations and share findings with key stakeholdersStay current on industry best practices around personalization, segmentation, and platform capabilitiesSkillsThis is both a strategic and operational role. You have a builder mentality — you're comfortable owning subscriber growth strategy and operationalizing it2-5 years of experience in a consumer subscription business, with a very strong preference for media experience.
