[Remote] Subject Matt Expert: Regulatory & Policy Analyst

This role is responsible for researching and interpreting healthcare regulations, ensuring compliance obligations are met, and collaborating with various stakeholders to support regulatory interpretations.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Conduct primary research of healthcare statutes, administrative codes, CMS Conditions of Participation, and related regulatory guidance leveraging workflows equipped with artificial intelligence
ā¢ Interpret regulatory requirements and distinguish between statutory mandates, regulatory obligations, interpretive guidance, and best-practice recommendations
ā¢ Determine regulatory applicability by care setting, facility type, audience, and jurisdiction
ā¢ Identify and document training requirements, including frequency, approval requirements, and enforcement considerations
ā¢ Analyze regulatory changes and collaborate on the communication of their impacts to content, products, and regulatory mappings
ā¢ Document regulatory interpretations, rationales, and citations in structured formats to support downstream systems
ā¢ Collaborate with clinical SMEs to validate interpretations while retaining policy ownership
ā¢ Respond to internal and external inquiries related to regulatory logic with clear explanations and supporting citations
ā¢ Support ongoing regulatory monitoring and update cycles across multiple jurisdictions and care settings
Skills
ā¢ Bachelor's degree required (health policy, public policy, regulatory affairs, public health, or related field preferred)
ā¢ 2+ years of experience in regulatory analysis, compliance, health policy, or government affairs
ā¢ Demonstrated experience interpreting healthcare regulations or statutes
ā¢ Strong written communication skills with the ability to explain complex regulatory concepts clearly
ā¢ High attention to detail and ability to work independently and asynchronously in ambiguous regulatory environments
ā¢ Experience with CMS Conditions of Participation and/or state Department of Health regulations
ā¢ Experience supporting compliance, accreditation, or regulatory intelligence products
ā¢ Advanced degree (MPH, MPA) and/or certification (CHC) preferred but not required
