RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare technical drawings, calculations, specifications, material requisitions, and technical bid evaluations for industrial rail, transloading, and other industrial facility projects
Review of shop drawings and submittals, responds to request for information, prepares site observation reports, and performs other contract administration tasks.
Attend project coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants.
Participate in value engineering and basic cost estimating.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited University.
Professional Engineer (PE) license in one or more US states, with the ability to obtain additional state licenses as needed
10+ years of structural engineering experience. Experience as a discipline lead is an asset.
Working knowledge of building codes and standards, relevant industry standards and regulations.
Experience with S-Frame or RISA is an asset.
Experience with structural design of bridges and other infrastructure for railways is an asset.
Well organized, with the ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects. Strong organizational interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
