[Remote] Strategy Manager, Building Engineering

Autodesk is seeking a Building Engineering Strategy Manager to join the AEC Design Strategy team, supporting the Building Engineering business across North America. The role involves defining the long-term industry vision, validating market opportunities, and leading initiatives to integrate Autodesk’s platforms into core building engineering workflows.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and drive the strategic GTM plan (short- and long-term) for Building Engineering (MEP + Structures) across North AmericaCollaborate with Industry Strategy peers to shape the broader AEC strategy and advance cross-industry initiativesLead market research and analysis, synthesizing customer feedback and industry trends across MEP systems and Structural engineeringInfluence and align Product, Marketing, and Sales teams on growth strategies, including GTM approaches for new products and platformsPresent insights and strategic recommendations to leadership, including Strategic Plans and Opportunity ProposalsEngage customers and industry stakeholders through executive briefings, customer councils, industry events, working groups, and media engagementsLead strategic partnerships and contribute to M&A strategy and execution aligned with Building Engineering prioritiesSkills5+ years of professional experience in MEP design and/or Structural engineering, with strong knowledge of building engineering workflows10+ years of related experience across engineering and business roles, including strategy, technology, or consultingDemonstrated experience in business planning, strategic visioning, and industry thought leadershipStrong proficiency in developing executive-level presentations and performing advanced data analysisProven ability to drive outcomes in a matrixed organization through cross-functional collaborationStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategiesExperience presenting to senior executives and engaging with customers, partners, and industry leadersBachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, or related field); MBA a plusWillingness to travel 20–30% for customer and industry engagementStrategy or management consulting experience (top-tier firm or equivalent)BenefitsAnnual cash bonusesCommissions for sales rolesStock grantsA comprehensive benefits packageCompany OverviewAutodesk develops 3D design software for use in the architecture, engineering, construction, and media industries.
