As the Strategic Market and Product Manager, you will drive alignment across various teams to develop actionable strategies that enhance product profitability and market competitiveness.ResponsibilitiesOwn the North American Institutional Solutions product and market strategy to outperform competitors in our target market, driving profitable growth and achieving full margin potentialProvide Strategic Business Unit (SBU) leadership and strategy development within North America to drive alignment across functions to activate strategic initiativesOwn the NPI growth plan to improve portfolio competitiveness in alignment with Product Managers, Sector Marketing, Global Marketing and Technology teamsDrive margin improvement through product mix optimization, disciplined pricing execution, cost management, and regional supply strategyFacilitate strategy and profitability improvement workshopsCollaborating with product managers, sales and operations to ensure the right products are made at the right assets to drive improved plant absorptionSupport pricing analysis and strategy in collaboration with Product Managers and Pricing teamPartner with sales on key deals and proposal development to improve win ratesProvide regional guidance and input to Sector Marketing, Sales and Global Teams with high visibility to senior managementPlay a strong role in improving overall portfolio positioning to align with sector needs and expanding the share of differentiated, higher-margin productsPromote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement, supporting an environment where individuals feel empowered to contribute and growSkillsBachelor's degree or higher in a technical field. MBA preferred10+ years of experience in the product lines / markets for which you would be responsible; exposure to pricing processes is requiredStrong profitability and growth orientation; willingness to challenge the sales team when required; and the mindset to work through detailsStrategic thinker and problem solver with the ability to apply analytical solutions to business problemsStrong background in strategic marketing and pricing fundamentals with demonstrated application of key frameworks to develop winning strategiesStrong time management and cross-functional people management skillsAbility to facilitate and lead cross functional workshops to solve complex problemsExcellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate team membersDemonstrated ability to collaborate with and influence multiple teamsStrong written and oral communication skills in EnglishIndustry and customer literacy, or the ability to quickly learn Solenis/Diversey markets and technologiesStrong financial acumen to support systems and interface effectively with sales and marketing organizations to drive specific action plans and programsDemonstrated ability to apply AI tools to solve business problems—not just theoretical knowledgeExperience translating ambiguous, fragmented, or low-quality data environments into actionable insightsStrong understanding of: Data structures, APIs, and data flows; Analytics / BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Excel advanced modeling); Prompt engineering and AI-assisted workflows (content, analysis, automation)Proven ability to turn data into decisions (pricing, portfolio optimization, customer segmentation)Ideally we would like someone located within travel distance of Fort Mill, SC.
