They are seeking a Strategic Director of Financial Planning & Analysis who will lead the modernization of FP&A processes, partner with senior executives, and develop a high-performing team to support strategic decision-making across the organization.ResponsibilitiesOwn the annual operating plan, rolling forecasts, and long-range planning processesPartner with leaders across the organization to develop financial plans aligned to strategic prioritiesDeliver scenario modeling and business insights that support executive decision-makingDrive accountability, consistency, and rigor across planning activitiesAssess current planning, reporting, and forecasting processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and scalabilityHelp lead the evaluation and implementation of a future FP&A planning platformDrive automation initiatives utilizing modern reporting, analytics, and AI-enabled capabilitiesBuild processes that reduce manual effort and increase organizational agilityServe as a trusted advisor to senior leaders across Finance, HR, Operations, Marketing, Sales, and other functionsTranslate complex financial information into actionable business recommendationsSupport strategic investments, growth initiatives, and operational improvements through financial analysis and business case developmentLead a team consisting of a Manager of FP&A and Senior AnalystsAssess team capabilities and create development plans that elevate performance and readinessBuild organizational capability through coaching, mentorship, and succession planningFoster a culture of ownership, accountability, innovation, and continuous learningOversee monthly reporting, performance reviews, variance analysis, and KPI reportingDevelop executive presentations and materials for senior leadership discussionsProvide forward-looking analysis of key business drivers, risks, and opportunitiesSkills10+ years of progressive finance experience, including leadership within FP&AExperience improving, scaling, or transforming FP&A functions in complex organizationsDemonstrated success leading budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processesStrong business partnership and executive communication skillsExperience leading and developing high-performing teamAdvanced financial modeling and analytical capabilitiesExperience with planning, reporting, and business intelligence toolsStrong process improvement mindset with a passion for innovation and automationCPA and/or MBAExperience in education, workforce development, subscription, consumer, or service-based businessesExperience implementing FP&A systems such as Adaptive Planning, Anaplan, Hyperion, or similar platformsExposure to AI-enabled finance processes, automation initiatives, or advanced analytics environmentsBenefitsMedicalDentalVisionFlexible spendingGenerous paid time offSponsored volunteer opportunitiesA 401K with a company matchFree access to all of our online programsCompany OverviewAt Penn Foster Group, we are transforming online learning to help learners by bringing together Penn Foster, CareerStep, Ashworth College, James Madison High School, the New York Institute of Photography, the New York Institute of Art and Design, and other education platforms.
