The Strategic Account Director will lead the development and growth of key strategic client relationships across the USA and Canada, focusing on optimizing performance and maximizing revenue through tailored growth strategies.ResponsibilitiesManage and grow a portfolio of top-performing strategic clients and travel advisor groupsBuild strong, influential relationships with senior stakeholders across client organizationsAct as the primary liaison between clients and the HBX Group ecosystemAnalyze portfolio performance using available tools to identify growth opportunities and risksDevelop and implement strategic account plans aligned with client business objectivesDrive growth across accommodation, ecosystem products, and overall profitabilityIdentify opportunities to increase product attachment and cross-sell solutionsLead regular client meetings (virtual and in-person) to review performance, agree on actions, and identify new opportunitiesProvide insights, recommendations, and updates on HBX products and servicesMaintain a continuous feedback loop to refine strategy and ensure relevanceCreate and manage commercial agreements that drive revenue growth and efficiencyInfluence client buying behavior through value propositions and strategic initiativesLead negotiations with a strong focus on profitability and long-term partnershipWork closely with internal teams (Pricing, API, Marketing, Sourcing, Operations, Sales)Ensure alignment across Retail teams (Account Managers, BDMs, Regional Directors, Sales Executives)Drive joint initiatives such as marketing campaigns, distribution optimization, and technical integrationsEscalate and resolve technical or commercial issues proactivelySkillsStrong experience in strategic account management and B2B salesExceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills at senior levelsHighly developed commercial acumen and negotiation capabilitiesStrong analytical mindset and data-driven decision-makingExcellent communication and presentation skills (both creation and delivery)Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environmentStrong collaboration and cross-functional leadership capabilitiesAdvanced Excel (analysis, reporting, profitability tracking)Strong PowerPoint skills for executive presentationsExperience with Salesforce, Salesloft, and/or TableauAbility to interpret dashboards, KPIs, and large data sets3–5+ years of experience in sales or account management within the travel industryExperience managing strategic or high-value accountsProven track record of driving growth, cross-selling, and client retentionStrong understanding of profitability, pricing, and commercial performanceFluent in EnglishBachelor's degree in Business, Tourism, or related field is desirableGood understanding of APIs and technical integrationsExperience working with travel agencies, consortia, or retail distribution channelsFrench is strongly preferredBenefitsAs well as an attractive benefits package you will be able to work:Within an innovative, engaging and multicultural environment.Have the opportunity to build strong and lasting business relationships and friendships from around the world.Have the opportunity in developing your career locally or within one of our beautiful working locations across the globe.Company OverviewHBX is a travel tech company that provides a unique portfolio of travel products and services.
