[Remote] Strategic Account Manager– Department of Energy

The Strategic Account Manager will drive revenue growth and expand market share by developing account strategies and building partnerships with the U.S. Department of Energy and its affiliates.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute a multi-year strategic account plan for the DOE ecosystem, including national labs, program offices, and prime contractorsIdentify, qualify, and pursue high-value opportunities aligned with DOE priorities (e.g., clean energy, grid modernization, nuclear, critical materials)Increase revenue, pipeline expansion, and market penetration across assigned accountsBuild and maintain strong relationships with key DOE stakeholders, including senior leadership, program managers, and technical influencersEstablish trusted advisor status by understanding mission objectives, funding priorities, and operational challengesLead executive engagement strategies and facilitate high-level business reviewsLead opportunity identification, pursuit, and closure strategies across federal procurement channelsNavigate complex government acquisition processes, including IDIQs, GWACs, OTAs, and contract vehiclesCollaborate with capture teams and partners to develop winning proposals and differentiated value propositionsCoordinate internal resources across sales, engineering, marketing, and services teams to deliver integrated solutionsLead account teams to ensure alignment on strategy, execution, and customer engagementCollaborate with product management to align solutions with DOE-specific use cases and requirementsMaintain knowledge of DOE programs, funding streams (e.g., ARPA-E, Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations), and policy trendsTrack competitive landscape and provide actionable insights to leadershipRepresent Rockwell at industry events, conferences, and DOE-related forumsSkillsBachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant work experienceLegal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job openingA valid drivers licenseTypically requires 8+ years of experience in strategic account management, federal sales, or business developmentAbility to travel up to 30–50% to DOE sites, national labs, customer meetings, and industry eventsExperience in industrial automation, energy systems, digital transformation, or advanced manufacturingKnowledge of DOE mission areas such as nuclear energy, renewable energy, grid infrastructure, or critical materialsExisting relationships within DOE agencies, labs, or key contractorsFamiliarity with government funding programs and public-private partnership modelsBenefitsHealth Insurance including Medical, Dental and Vision401kPaid Time offParental and Caregiver LeaveFlexible Work Schedule where you will work with your manager to enjoy a work schedule that can be flexible with your personal life.Company OverviewRockwell Automation specializes in industrial automation and information, makes its customers more productive.
