[Remote] Strategic Account Manager (Ad Tech)

They are seeking a Strategic Account Manager to nurture client relationships, drive account growth, and deliver tailored advertising strategies backed by data-driven insights.ResponsibilitiesAct as the trusted lead for assigned accounts, owning strategy, relationship development, and lifecycle planning - from pre-sales proposals through onboarding to business reviewsUncover client goals and deliver tailored campaign strategies and optimizations that build long-term value and retentionCollaborate with internal stakeholders to identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities that grow revenue within existing accountsSynthesize campaign data into clear, client-ready narratives that link performance to business outcomesCraft impactful decks that weave insights, optimizations, and strategic recommendationsLeverage tools like brand lift studies and audience analytics, interpreting results and building stories that clients can use to inform broader strategyBring a strong, working knowledge of DSPs (The Trade Desk, Viant, etc.) and SSPs (Xandr, Index Exchange, etc.) to client conversationsTranslate technical concepts, such as bidding strategies, targeting, and pixel implementation, into value-focused dialogueTroubleshoot basic delivery issues and collaborate with Trading, Engineering, and Product teams when escalation is neededPartner with internal sales, engineering, and data teams to ensure smooth execution and ongoing innovationSurface client feedback to shape go-to-market offerings and influence product roadmapContribute to scalable resources, including upsell templates, case studies, and best-practice materialsSkills6+ years in account management within the advertising or ad tech industry, including both brand-direct and agency-side experienceProven track record of client growth, retention, and consultative upsellingStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret campaign performance data and measurement study resultsExcellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts and tell compelling storiesSuperior organizational and time management skills to work in a remote, fast-paced environmentProficiency in Google Workspace products, HubSpot, Salesforce, and other ad techExperience with research tools, brand studies, and ad measurement platforms, a plusBenefitsCompany paid medical, dental, and vision premiums for you and your legal dependentsCompany paid life insurance plus short- & long-term disability coverageFlexible spending accounts for medical and dependent careEmployee assistance programsUnlimited PTO401(k)Travel and educational opportunitiesThis is a remote (work from home) role with flexibility, autonomy, and a preference for candidates in the Eastern Time ZoneCompany OverviewCivicScience offers an online polling application that gathers information on topics while respecting the privacy of its providers.
