[Remote] STARZ Intern, UX Research
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. STARZ is a leading premium entertainment destination focused on women and underrepresented audiences, seeking a UX Research Intern to enhance their streaming experience. The intern will shadow a Senior UX Researcher and engage in various research activities to gather user data that informs application and web design decisions.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Develop a domain knowledge and an understanding of our users and their goals and behaviors
ā¢ Collaborate with the cross-functional design team and our stakeholders to identify research opportunities and manage research projects
ā¢ Plan research strategies and prescribe appropriate methodologies to answer questions and inform the experience design
ā¢ Conduct various remote research activities, including surveys, first-click studies, Usability studies, user interviews, diary studies, etc
ā¢ Learn to gather qualitative and quantitative data, analyze findings and contribute actionable insights
ā¢ Help the team remain focused on the user and their needs throughout the design process
ā¢ Be a part of an incredible UX team
Skills
ā¢ Be pursuing a degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Statistics, Sociology, Psychology, Anthropology, or any UX-related design field
ā¢ Be within a year of your graduation date
ā¢ Have an understanding of general user experience research methods and techniques
ā¢ Know the process of conducting a research study (design, recruiting, moderation, analysis, and storytelling)
ā¢ Have good analytical, social, communication, and presentation skills
ā¢ Be able to help the team to apply research insights to designs and workflows
ā¢ Have familiarity with Agile Development, Lean UX, and Design thinking process
ā¢ Love watching movies and original series on their mobile, web, and streaming TV platforms
ā¢ Interns must be enrolled in a college or university and classified as rising juniors or seniors
ā¢ Interns must be available to work for the entire length of the program
ā¢ Submit a cover letter (optional)
