[Remote] Staff Technical Program Manager

They are seeking a Staff-level Autonomy Technical Program Manager to drive complex initiatives across the company, focusing on model development and release cycles in support of their driverless goals.ResponsibilitiesOwn and execute large-scale, complex technical programs critical to Motional's roadmap, focusing on model development and release cycles, while ensuring alignment between senior engineering leaders, product managers, and executive stakeholdersServe as the Directly Responsible Individual (DRI) for high-level behavioral capabilities, managing dependencies and driving integration efforts across Prediction and ML Planning teams to successfully launch large modelsGo beyond surface-level program tracking. Dive deep into ML and behavioral issues to facilitate trade-off discussions, and drive teams to convergence on robust solutionsProactively identify, quantify, and communicate technical risks and dependencies. You will be expected to develop and execute mitigation strategies for high-priority issues that could impact our driverless milestonesPartner deeply with engineering and product leadership to ensure the ML and behaviors roadmap is well-defined, integrated, and aligned with top-level company goalsSkills7+ years of experience in technical program management or a similar role, leading complex, safety-critical AI software, robotics, or systems programsExperience managing large model releases and model development lifecycles is highly preferredBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical fieldA strong track record of taking large, complex programs from initial concept and ambiguity to a successful launchDemonstrated ability to act as the primary point of contact for complex programs, with a track record of communicating progress, risks, and strategic recommendations to leadershipBenefitsCandidates for certain positions are eligible to participate in Motionals benefits program.Motionals benefits include but are not limited to medical, dental, vision, 401k with a company match, health saving accounts, life insurance, pet insurance, and more.Company OverviewMotional offers an autonomous driving platform for robotaxi providers, fleet operators, and automotive manufacturers.
