They are seeking a Staff Platform Engineer to lead the technical direction of their platform as they scale significantly in enterprise customers, focusing on architecture, reliability, and developer experience.ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement scalable solutions within our Kubernetes-based platform for secure enterprise workloadsDefine and contribute to reliability initiatives: SLOs, capacity planning, and resilience improvementsIdentify and resolve system misconfigurations and architectural risksBuild systems that support 10x customer growth with clear failure modes and mitigation strategiesOwn and continuously improve internal platform systems: deployments, environments, and developer toolingDrive improvements to reliability, observability, and operational workflowsAct as a force multiplier for product engineers by building guardrails (not gates) and self-serve toolingBring structure and rigor to complex infrastructure problemsContribute to internal engineering standards and design principlesWork cross-functionally with engineering, product, and leadership to unblock and accelerate deliverySkillsExtensive, production-grade Kubernetes scaling experience (not just operating clusters, but growing them significantly from early-stage to production-critical workloads)Deep understanding of distributed systems tradeoffsPreviously worked in: Big tech → then startup or startup that successfully scaled infrastructureStrong systems mindsetComfortable operating in ambiguityEnjoys being a technical owner with broad company impactExperience with single-tenant architecturesBackground in financial services or regulated environmentsFamiliarity with banking-level security and data governanceCompany OverviewRogo.ai is an AI platform for finance that automates research, analysis, and financial workflows for investment banks and investors.
