The role involves designing scalable software solutions, managing multi-cloud environments, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure high-quality software delivery.ResponsibilitiesLead the design and architecture of major systems and services, and ensure software solutions are scalable, reliable, maintainable, and aligned with business needsCollaborate with solution managers, engineers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to define and prioritize technical requirements that meet client needs and business objectivesCollaborate with teams to ensure sustained quality and reliability of our software solutions, and act as a go-to expert by identifying and resolving complex, high-priority issues in both development and production environmentsActively contribute to code reviews, provide constructive feedback on design and implementation, and provide technical guidance to other engineers to elevate skills, productivity, and overall effectivenessEnsure code meets functional and performance requirements, advocate for high-quality software, and ensure rigorous testing processes, including automated unit tests, integration tests, and other testing frameworksLeverage AI tools and platforms as an integral part of daily responsibilities to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows, and drive data-informed outcomesOperate multi-cloud environments across GCP, AWS, and Azure β provisioning, hardening, cost management, and day-to-day systems managementManage the platform services dev teams rely on β ArgoCD, Spacelift, GitHub, and related CI/CD and GitOps tooling β keeping them reliable, secure, and easy to usePartner with development teams on Kubernetes β help them design, deploy, and operate clusters and workloads, and level up their ability to run their own servicesBuild custom tooling β automate the toil, fill the gaps off-the-shelf tools leave, and create the internal tools that keep the team and our customers efficientSet technical direction β define standards and architecture for how we run cloud infrastructure, and raise the bar for reliability, security, and operability across teamsMentor and multiply β share knowledge, review designs, and grow the capabilities of both your teammates and the dev teams you supportSkillsBachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience8-12 years related work experienceHealthcare industry experienceBenefitsExcellent medical with Rx, dental, and vision benefitsMental Health support through EAPGenerous paid time off, plus 13 paid holidays100% vested 401(K) retirement plansEducational assistance up to $2500 per yearCompany OverviewWellSky delivers software and services to transform an ever-growing range of care services worldwide.
