They are seeking a Senior or Staff Backend Engineer to design and build scalable, reliable backend systems, influencing technical decisions and collaborating with a high-impact engineering team.ResponsibilitiesContribute to backend server-side development to ensure our application is extensible, scalable, and secureRecognize and prioritize between Customer deliverables & Tech debt to develop a sustainable software suite of productsEnjoy designing and architecting complex frameworks for applying ML techniques to large data volumes and simplifying labor-intensive processesDeliver resilient enterprise software solutionsSkills10+ years of backend focused experience in the field of application programming and complex API developmentStrong working experience with Java or ScalaProven experience developing thoughtful backend system design and architecture with scalability in mindExperience reading and understanding complex enterprise-grade code, quickly contributing to it, and suggesting improvementsWorking experience writing SQL queriesStrong CS foundation (data structures, asynchronous programming)Excellences in test writing disciplineCritical thinking and problem solving skills working in a high growth environmentComfortable navigating ambiguityBS or MS in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)Additional Rust experience highly desired across greenfield projects!BenefitsWork from anywhere in the US!
