[Remote] Staff Software Engineer – AI Platforms & Infrastructure

SPECTRAFOR is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer to help design, build, and scale next-generation AI platforms and intelligent systems. The role involves developing scalable software systems, building Generative AI solutions, and collaborating with various teams to enhance engineering productivity and platform modernization.ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop scalable, production-grade software systems and AI platformsBuild Generative AI solutions leveraging LLMs, RAG pipelines, agentic AI, and vector databasesDevelop internal platforms, SDKs, APIs, and shared services that accelerate engineering productivityDesign and optimize inference and model-serving platforms for enterprise AI workloadsBuild and maintain cloud-native applications and distributed systems at scaleDrive architecture reviews, technical strategy, and platform modernization initiativesImplement CI/CD, GitOps, observability, monitoring, and operational best practicesCollaborate closely with ML engineers, data scientists, platform teams, and business stakeholdersManage Kubernetes-based environments and deployment workflowsChampion engineering excellence, scalability, reliability, and securitySkillsSoftware engineering experience with strong system design and architecture expertiseHands-on experience with Python and modern backend developmentExperience building AI/ML platforms, GenAI applications, LLM-based solutions, or RAG systemsStrong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and cloud-native architecturesExperience with Kubernetes, containerization, and modern deployment practicesFamiliarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCPExperience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and platform engineeringKnowledge of vector databases, embeddings, model serving, or MLOps/LLMOps conceptsStrong communication skills and ability to influence technical direction across teamsExperience with Go, Rust, or C++Experience with inference platforms such as vLLM, Triton, Ray Serve, or KServeKnowledge of OAuth2, OIDC, SSO, SCIM, and enterprise security frameworksExperience in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or other regulated industriesCompany OverviewFounded in 2004, SPECTRAFORCE® is a global staffing and workforce solutions company that helps organizations build high-performing teams across healthcare, technology, financial services, engineering, and professional services.
