They are seeking a Staff Software Engineer with expertise in AI-Native engineering to design and build services for their international members, enhancing product localization and user experience.ResponsibilitiesDesign and build high-quality API and services for the international adaptation of Life360 — services that are life saving, and genuinely usefulBuild with our global customers in mind by applying internationalization best practices from the startWork with AI (Claude Code) as a first-class collaborator — your primary workflow involves orchestrating agents to create specs, generate code and tests, verify results, and perform reviewsHelp define and codify AI-Native engineering practices for the International team, establishing playbooks the broader org can adoptBuild across the full stack as needed — shipping polished, performant, and reliable experiences to tens of millions of usersCollaborate closely with product managers and designers to turn complex user problems into elegant, scalable engineering solutionsContribute to architectural decisions, code reviews, and a culture of craft and continuous improvementParticipate in on-call rotation and incident responseUse agentic workflows to dramatically increase the delivery of strong outcomes — moving faster without sacrificing qualityHold a high bar for quality end-to-end: you define what 'done' means, instrument your work for observability, and treat post-launch behavior as part of the job — not someone else's problemMentor team members and contribute to team processes, technical standards, and help evolve the team's AI-native engineering practicesSupport performance, reliability, and accessibility across the features you ownSkills8+ years of experience building and operating high-quality, consumer-scale services1+ years of hands-on experience prompting, evaluating, and building with LLMsStrong proficiency in cloud development using modern Java, Kubernetes, AWS and streaming technologiesDeep experience with agentic workflows, prompt engineering, context window management, and MCP/function callingA track record of using AI tooling to multiply your own output — not just as autocomplete, but as a genuine development partnerStrong communication and collaboration skills — you work well with product, design, and platform engineersA genuine excitement for defining what it means to be AI-Native — you're not waiting for the playbook, you want to write itEmpathy for our international members - including those with lower end mobile devices and inconsistent network connectivity.
