They are seeking a Staff Software Engineer to be a hands-on technical leader, driving architectural decisions and ensuring best practices while developing key product features and mentoring other engineers.ResponsibilitiesOwn the end-to-end development of key product features, from database models to UI componentsServe as a technical leader and drive best practices across the engineering teamAct as a force multiplier by mentoring engineers, conducting code reviews, and improving development workflowsCollaborate with product and design teams to translate complex requirements into scalable solutionsArchitect and optimize our systems for performance, scalability, and maintainabilityChampion best practices in code quality, testing, and continuous integration/deploymentProactively identify and resolve bottlenecks in both technical architecture and team processesLead large releases to production on a continuous deployment cadenceSkills7+ years of full-stack engineering experience, with deep expertise in both frontend and backend technologiesMastery of React, TypeScript, and Node.js, with a proven track record of shipping production-grade applicationsA strong background in scalable system design, API development, and database architectureExperience working in fast-paced startup environments where you've built and shipped products from scratchAbility to set technical direction and mentor engineers, helping them grow in their craftStrong problem-solving skills and an ability to tackle complex technical challenges with pragmatic solutionsAn extreme bias toward action and execution—you move fast, iterate quickly, and get things doneCompany OverviewSolace connects patients with professional healthcare advocates that supports them through complex medical journeys.
